石榴(學名：Punica granatum)，石榴屬於落葉灌木或小喬木，外種皮肉質，呈鮮紅、淡紅或白色，多汁，甜而帶酸，即為可食用的部分；內種皮為角質，也有退化變軟的，即軟籽石榴。原產亞洲中部。石榴全株均可入藥，性溫；果可食用，味酸、澀；果皮及根、花葯用，有收斂止瀉、止血、殺蟲等用途。

The pomegranate (Punica granatum) is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub in the family Lythraceae that grows between 5 and 10 m (16 and 33 ft) tall.The fruit is typically in season in the Northern Hemisphere from September to February, and in the Southern Hemisphere from March to May. As intact arils or juice, pomegranates are used in baking, cooking, juice blends, meal garnishes, smoothies, and alcoholic beverages, such as cocktails and wine.
